The Motive of the Dream in Selected Woeks of German Romanticism

The bachelor thesis deals with the subject of dreams in German Romanticism. The concept of dreams is characterized together with its other forms and it appears in works of the authors who influenced the romantic writers, William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. In addition to the characterizing characteristic features of Romanticism is the poetics of the Romantic authors presented, in whose works the motive of a dream often occurs, i.e. Novalis and E. T. A. Hoffmann. An analysis of works Heinrich von Ofterdingen and Der Goldene Topf clarify the meaning and the importance of dreams in romantic works
