Czech-German relations in the period from 1918 to 1939

This thesis deals with the Czech-German relations in Czechoslovakia between 1918 and 1939. The theoretical part outlines the development of relations between Czechs and Germans from the formation of Czechoslovakia, over a period of economic crisis until the final years of the first Czechoslovak state. Furthermore, the theoretical part is followed by an analysis of a survey carried out at one Czech and one Bavarian grammar school. In addition, the thesis consists of interviews with Czech and German witnesses and their testimony of the Czech-German coexistence in interwar Czechoslovakia. The aim is to map the development of the Czech-German relations from 1918 to 1939, as well as, to compare the way their development is perceived by both Czech and German young generation and the witnesses
