The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the Tunisian revolution. The Tunisian revolution was part of the so called Arab Spring, which in the end affected the whole region of the Middle East and North Africa. These events started in Tunisia. The aim of the thesis is to identify the causes of revolution in Tunisia and to analyze, if the revolution was really so unexpected as it appeared at the first sight. It was a spontaneous popular uprising and it caused change not only of the government, but of the political system as such.
