Cultural Center Eden

Bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of cultural center percieved as an element of basic civic amenities. This is the angle of view that has not been applied a lot in the Czech Republic so far. The theoretical part focuses mainly on defining what cultural center is, which role it plays in contemporary society and which possibilities it has in designing organizational structure, legal form, financing and project management. Next step is to do a search of cultural centers and to establish general guidlines for designing new cultural centers afterwards. Main task in practical part of the thesis is to map the situation arend the abandoned and neglected cultural center in Eden (Vršovice-Prague) and to design a new institution of cultural center taking into account all previously acquired knowledge and information
