Analysis of Guarantee Schemes

This bachelor thesis is dealing with a consumer property protection on the financial market. The consumer protection in the European Union has a huge attention; the measures for the improvement were taken under the influence of the financial crisis. The thesis focuses on the development of the European legal regulations, which determinates the problems. The single chapters of the thesis aim particularly on Deposit Guarantee Schemes and Investor Compensation Schemes. A special attention is dedicated to a function of Guarantee Schemes in the Czech Republic. The cases, which the Deposit Insurance Fund and the Securities Dealers Guarantee Fund had to deal with, were analyzes.
