Sow herd management effects on reproduction and rearing results of piglets

This bachelor thesis focuses on the technology of sow rearing. We particularly concentrate on the factors that influence the economy of sow production. Although sow fertility is the basic aspect, it is affected by numerous internal and external factors. The breed and health status belong to most important internal factors and the techniques of feeding and housing (animal welfare) are external factors of high impact. Brief attention is paid also to related technologies of boar and piglet rearing
