Mobile phone payments in developed and developing countries

The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of mobile phone payments within direct banking services. Theoretical part offers basic description of the currently-in-use direct banking products. This paper also characterises mobile phone payment systems in developing countries, their fundamental conditions, problems with their implementation and outlines M-PESA as an example of a successful system. The next section analyses mobile phone payment system in developed countries defining conditions and presumptions for mobile phone payments in order of becoming appropriate competitor to the cash payments. To summarize, at the end there is a comparison of the mobile phone payment systems in both, developed as well as developing countries emphasizing on the main differences
