Inland waterway transport in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis aims to provide a general view of inland waterway transport in the Czech Republic. First, the positive and negative aspects are explored and applied to the situation in our country. Then the thesis deals with the legislative and development documents. These documents are divided by the national and international perspective. The work also presents public and private subjects which affect the operation and development of the inland waterways. Further there are defined waterways and navigability as a basis for understanding the inland waterway projects in the Czech Republic. The conclusion of the thesis is focused on the Czech freight inland waterway transport. This is where the major development projects are mentioned. In this part, I also describe the structures and types of transported goods. The work includes actual technical and historical information, which is necessary for the overall evaluation of water transport
