Socio-economic analysis of the Central Bohemian Region

This thesis "Socio-economic analysis of the Central Bohemian Region" is divided into two parts. First part outlines a theoretical approach to the formulation of regional development and the theories dealing with this issue. The second part describes and evaluates the status and development in economic and social aspects of the Central Bohemian Region. Each chapter is devoted to one of these areas. Practical part is divided into basic characteristics of the region, the social analysis of the region with emphasis on demographic data, education, health and social services, and regional economic analysis, which focuses on labour market, infrastructure and macroeconomic indicators. The work includes environmental analysis and a SWOT analysis of the region, where there is an evaluation of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the Central Bohemian region with a socio-economic analysis of individual areas
