This Bachelor's thesis is about the investment climate in India. The first chapter explains important theoretical terms concerning this topic. The second chapter describes both historical and current aspects which are involved in forming investment climate. Indian economy and its involvement in international trade are also characterized in this chapter. The third chapter evaluates the investment climate as such. It introduces important reforms, industry restrictions, barriers to entry to the Indian market, and investment promotion agencies. It also provides information about foreign direct investments in India. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to investment opportunities for foreign investors
