Lustig´s Work in Czech Literary Criticism

In my thesis I try to show the perception of the texts by Arnošt Lustig at the time of their publication (1958?1960s) and further on after 1989. Literary-scientific texts and reviews that cover the critical view of Lustig?s literary activity are the base of my thesis. In the first period of the reflexion of his work, i.e. the end of 1950s ? 1960s, the following will be analyzed: Noc a naděje, Démanty noci, Ulice ztracených bratří, Dita Saxová, Nikoho neponížíš, Modlitba pro Kateřinu Horovitzovou, Bílé břízy na podzim, Hořká vůně mandlí and in the period after 1989 I am interested in the analysis of Noc a naděje, Démanty noci, Modlitba pro Kateřinu Horovitzovou, Dita Saxová, Nemilovaná (Z deníku sedmnáctileté perly Sch.), Lea: Dívka z Leeuwardenu, Tanga: Dívka z Hamburku, Colette: Dívka z Antverp, Krásné zelené oči, Bílé břízy na podzim, Propast, Dům vrácené ozvěny, Kamarádi, Porgess, Můj známý Vili Feld, Oheň na vodě, Neslušné sny a Zasvěcení. I try to think of the texts as the representations of contemporary events and thought, which could contribute to clarification of possible ?generation? differences in the perception of Lustig?s texts
