In my thesis I occupy with using of animal assisted therapy/activities in social field, its methods and application. The aim was to describe the kinds of animal therapy, describe various ways and methods of using animals in therapy, explain the basic concepts and the views of clients and therapists to benefit animal therapy. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts, types of animal therapy, mostly animal assisted therapy, specially trained dogs and hippotherapy and other less advanced types of rehabilitation with the help of animals. In the practical part, I use interviews and observation investigated how animal therapy carried out in three selected social facilities in the České Budějovice
