Continuo Theatre

This thesis focuses on the independent group Continuo Theatre. I have described the specific way in which Continuo operates, which is absolutely unique in the Czech Republic, and the changes it has undergone including its development from the very beginning to today. I have also focused on the production-organizational aspect of Continuo Theatre with a chapter focusing on its artistic aspect and the conditions under which Continuo can create and survive. The work also attempts to identify and list the advantages and disadvantages associated with this independent theatre group. The objective of this thesis is to familiarize the reader with the phenomenon of Continuo Theatre thanks mainly to personal meetings with the people, who have collaborated with Continuo in the past and with those who are currently members of the group. In order to demonstrate the artistic aspect and stylization of Continuo Theatre so typical of its projects, an illustrative attachement has been included
