This bachelors thesis is focused on the famous Viennese composer, pianist and teacher with Czech ancestors, Carl Czerny. The thesis should serve not only as an informational resource for those who rightly consider Carl Czerny as one of the most significant composers of piano instructive literature in 19th century, but also for those who do not have such a good attitude towards this person. As I consider Carl Czerny to be one of the founders who formed the modern concepts of piano playing, in the thesis I accentuated his great piano works counting over 600 opus numbers with emphasis on his instructive literature.
