The subject of my dissertation, for which I chose the title " Jazz Double Bassists and Bass Guitarists of Miles Davis" is an introducrion of one of the most outstanding musical personalities of the 20th century, the American jazz trumpet player, composer and leader of several music bands, Miles Davis. In addition, eight of the most important double bass and bass guitar players, who cooperated with Miles in his bands throughout the almost fifty years of his career, are being introduced. In the opening of my thesis, I pay attention to my reasons for choosing Miles Davis as the subject of my study.
