This research focuses on the developmentof material changes in Malay handicraft in Saribas, Sarawak. Based on the qualitative method, the result of observation and documentation of the changing material of plastic materials, the researcher concludes that the modern era of handicrafthas been innovating because of the need for artificial materials and the level of utilization that has been different in today's society
