The results of an e xperimental study on the high strength concrete (HSC) with different f ine aggregate is presented. The study mainly concern on the influence of the characteristic of shape and texture of the fine aggregate on mec hanical prope rties of HSC . Two types of fine aggregate were used namely crushed granite sand and natur a l river sand. The HSC mixtures consist of high cement content of 530 kg/m 3 and low water - cement ratio of 0.30 was selected.
