This dissertation describes the recording and postproduction of audiovisual pictures´ sound track in the territory of today´s Czech republic between the years 1930 and 2005. Above all, it reports its technological and methodological progress. Barrandov film studio is in the focus, having provided film pruduction of czech films for more than 30 years. Soundtracks for the first talking pictures were made on the 35mm film negativ. 20 years later the analogue magnetical recording of sound came to use and stayed as the main technology for about 35 years.
