Fritz Kreisler

I present my bachelor's work whose theme is The Austrian violin virtuoso and composer Fritz Kreisler. In the first chapter of my work I deal with Fritz Kreisler's life, studies and career. The second chapter refers to Fritz Kreisler as an interpreter. According to recordings I attempt to discover the aspects of Kresler's technique and the ways of interpretation of his compositions or of pieces of other authors. I also try to describe what musical means Kreisler employed innovatively as the first person and in what his exceptionality lied. In the third chapter I pursue F. Kreisler as a composer. I focus both on his compositions and on his transcriptions
