Intercultural management - international co-operation

This thesis is focused on intercultural management in the context of international co-operation in the field of performing arts. Initial idea came out of the author?s practical experience from his activities abroad which he undertook as a student of educational seminars, an intern of residency programs, a manager of artistic projects and an advisor of cultural organizations. The goal of the thesis is to utilize his experience within theoretical framework which may serve as an orientation tool for young international arts producers. Content is structured from elementary outline of the theme, definition of essential keywords, view into history of Czech arts organization?s international projects, presentation of national institutions aimed on representing Czech culture abroad, description of foreign cultural agencies in the Czech republic and introduction of some important supranational networks and foundations. In the final part the author presents a case study of important international project and as last, mentions some obstacles of international projects management
