MIKULAS SCHNEIDER-TRNAVSKY LIFE, WORK AND REFLECTIONS AT THE PRESENT TIME

This Bachelor´s thesis brings basic theoretical knowledge about a significant Slovak composer, musician, teacher of music Mikulas Schneider - Trnavsky. In my work I map the historical and musical overview of Slovak music on the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. The first part of my work focuses on life of Schneider - Trnavsky, his studies and musical pathways. The second part is dedicated to the vocal production: artificial songs; folk music modifications; musical, dramatical, and choral works; church music. In the last chapter I highlight reflections of vocal works of Mikulas Schneider - Trnavsky in the present time, applicability and weal of his life long work
