The thesis deals with ethics in advertising. The object of this thesis is to briefly map the system of regulation and self-regulation of advertising in the Czech Republic and find out what importance is attached to the ethics in advertising by current public. In the theoretical part is defined the term of ethics, its relationship to morality and law. There are also the types and targets of advertising. One chapter discusses the regulation of advertising in the Czech Republic in terms of private law, public law and ethical regulation, which is represented by the Council for advertising. The practical part is worked out by evaluation of the questionnaire focused on the relationship of public to ethics in advertising
