The Analysis of the Utilization of Funds from the European Union in the Chrudim Microregion

This bachelor's thesis is focused on questions of a development of microregions with the aid of the funds of the EU. Particularly this work is aimed to the Chrudim Microregion. The first chapter deals with the regional policy of the European Union, its development and its main goals in phase 2000 -- 2006 and in current phase 2007 -- 2013. Then particular Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund are presented. The first part contains also the information about Regional Operational Programme NUTS II Northeast, because it is often used by the Chrudim Microregion. The next two chapters are practical, the first is focused on the socio-economic analysis of the microregion in view and its potential of a development in the tourism industry. The last part contain particular examples of project, that were (of are going to be) realized in the Chrudim Microregion. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to show, how the money from the EU can help to develop a microregion and to raise its tourist attractiveness
