Advanced digital illustration and its purpose in commercial sphere

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is definiton of Advanced Digital Illustration as a standalone discipline of digitlac graphic arts, separated from vector graphics and photographic retouching/montage. The thesis is made of 3 parts. The first theoretical part contains an introduction do Digital Illustration along with the history of the discipline. Precise borders will be also set to divide ADI from other digital art fields, in which is ADI often subsumed. Next, I will be introducing software and hardware commonly used for PDI. Lastly, an introduction of basic ADI styles, used the most for commerce, will be included. The second part of the thesis is practical. The main chunk is a complete walkthrough of a graphic project with a detailed description for each phase. The completed artwork is an example of graphic comission one can get in the field of ADI. Lastly, alternate tools and practices will be mentioned. The last part of the thesis will take a close look on utilization of ADI for commerce purposes. Specific fields will be defined, in which ADI is commonly used, with examples of existing projects. Expected future development of ADI will be mentioned along with new potentional market fields, in which ADI could find its utilization. Lastly, common problems and obstacles during the process of accepting, completing and selling the graphic project will be described
