Oft werden externen Signale in wiederholte Anstiege der zytosolischen Kalziumkonzentration übersetzt, die als Oszillationen bezeichnet werden. Diese interdisziplinäre Arbeit kombiniert biologische Experimente, analytische Methoden der theoretischen Physik und Computersimulationen, um den Oszillationsmechanismus zu charakterisieren.
