The Financial Literacy for Secondary Education

The thesis deals with financial literacy in secondary education and its possible improvement. Author describes the administrative way from planning to commissioning of requirements for students to practice. It is also mentioned the importance of financial education for society and individuals. The thesis mentions the basic documents on the issue and the role of relevant ministries and the banking sector. There is also solved support for teachers who teach financial literacy in secondary schools. The practical part of the thesis observed research of financial literacy at the secondary school, its organization and results. The findings are compared with the findings of quantitative research conducted for the Ministry of Finance in 2007. The aim is to determine whether students who learnt basic elements of financial literacy, have higher skills and are able to focus better on financial market than respondents in 2007. The conclusion of the thesis contains instructions and advices to do the learning process more effective
