The Pain and Delivery

The topic of my bachelor thesis is pain and confinement. The reason why I selected the topic is that it holds my interest. The theoretical part contains general information explaining what pain is and stating what kinds of pain there are. I aimed to describe in detail in particular parturition that is closely associated with confinement. It is a natural state accompanying almost every confinement. I focused on the mechanism of pain origin and the methods of parturition alleviating. Nowadays parturition can be prevented by various methods. The methods are divided into pharmacological and non-pharmacological. In my bachelor thesis I set three objectives and hypotheses associated with them.The research set were women in the puerperal ward of Nemocnice a. s. České Budějovice. The method of quantitative research was used and the data were collected by means of an anonymous questionnaire.100 questionnaires were distributed, of which 90 were returned.The research part has revealed that hypotheses 1 and 2 have been confirmed and hypothesis 3 potvrena not. The bachelor thesis could be used as an information material for the women in childbed who are not aware of the opportunity to utilize pain relieving methods.Furthermore, as information material for students of medical science
