LAND USE/LAND COVER IN THE SOUTHERN SUBURBAN AREA OF THE CITY ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE

This bachelor thesis deals with the land use and land cover in the southern suburbs of České Budějovice, which is defined as the suburban edge of cadastral municipalities directly adjacent to the cadastral territory of the regional capital of South Bohemia České Budějovice. This thesis tracks changes in land cover and land use, occurring in the area of operations between 2008 and 2011. In the theoretical part are firstly discussed the problems of suburbanization and land cover changes and its use within the Czech Republic. The thesis also includes the maps of updated status of land use / land cover of the particular cadastral territories for the year 2011 and the charts following the development and movement of population between the years 2004 - 2010 in these areas
