The diploma thesis The Language and Style of Contemporary Czech Writers (Michal Viewegh, Petr Šabach) is focused on the comparison of selected literary works written by the authors. The aim of this thesis is particularly to affect the similar and different linguistic construction of the books. The thesis is based on the free choice of two works by one author: the first book is from the beginning of his works, the second is his later work. In the analysis of the selected books is an emphasis on morphological, syntactic and lexical levels, standard and non-standard language units. The thesis is also focused on the analysis of the "spoken language" in the works of both authors. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part....
