Addictive drug taking (lawful and unlawful) by high school and vocational college (comparative analysis)

The thesis is focused on high school and vocational school students in the South Bohemia Region and their experience with the use of addictive substances. This work identifies possible links influencing substance use among students in four selected secondary and secondary vocational schools and relates these issues to questions of effectiveness of prevention programs implemented by these schools. The theoretical part deals with individual addictive substances, as well as the most common factors affecting substance abuse by adolescents. The issue of primary prevention in the school environment is also mentioned. The practical part is focused on obtaining the necessary data on the experience of students and apprentices with addictive substances - a questionnaire method was used. The results of this survey are presented in the form of tables and graphs. Evaluation of the data leads to a comparative analysis of selected schools in the context of prevention strategies used, levels of students" experience and their attitude towards substance abuse
