Values of contemporary university students

The main focus of this thesis is to examine the values and value systems of today`s college students. The goal is to compare these value systems among students of the Pedagogical Faculty and the Faculty of Health and Social Studies, University of South Bohemia. The theoretical part offers information on the term value, the typology of value orientation, the historical background of contemporary psychology of values, the forming of a value system and on curricular documents. In the practical part, which was carried out in the form of a questionairre, I present my research results and a summary of value orientations among students of the above mentioned faculties
