A linguistic Analysis of a Baroque text

The main subject of my bachelor work is the text language analyses of the baroque high season. The main aim of my work is to describe the state of the period language. My main focus was on spelling body of the text and therefore, I have chosen a collection Coelum vivum (1724) Bohumir Hynek Josek Bilovsky. This collection consists of the three preachings. My work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theory section includes the reviews of the scholastic and baroque grammars, following by main feature of spelling that were taken from spoken Czech into written one. Last but not least, I have added up a section devoted to preacher and saints who featured in the preachments. The practical section analyses every single spelling feature that were discovered in the baroque texts. Consequently, the gained knowledge can be compared by using the statistical method. I have tried to concentrate on evaluation the level of written language in the first half of the 18th century in the conclusion
