Interventional radiology is currently undergoing significant development.Vascular intrventions in particular have bečíme the method of choice and frequently precede or replace ivasive surgical procedures. Alongside this development, the number of interventions involving the administration of an iodine contrast agent is on the rise. Modern contrast agents are usually well tolerated. Bearing in mind the masive use of these agents, however, we try to prezent thein undesirable effects.
