Cyanobacteria of the splashzone of the Dalmatic coast

A primary study of cyanobacteria of the splash zone from the dalmatic coast has been executed. Samples were taken from 7 localities. There were found 36 species of cyanobacteria but only 27 were determined (21 epilithic and 6 endolithic species). The results were compared with other similar studies. There was made a check list of all possible species of the splash zone all over the world and the cyanobacteria were also compared with the results of the project
