History of primary schools in Týn nad Vltavou and surroundings

The thesis deals with educational and school development and history of certain schools in Týn nad Vltavou and its surroundings by the end of 19th century. The first part of the project guides you through a brief history of the region and later through educational and school development during different time periods. In the last chapter i describe school history of chosen schools. The story of school development in Týn nad Vltavou follows history, school buildings and their keeping, the board of school governors, teachers their duties and compensation and a notable figure of Czech history K. A. Vinařický. The history of village schools presents available historical information and events. The schools in Modrá Hůrka, Koloděje nad Lužnicí and Křtěnov were cancelled. The school building in Křtěnov still exists together with the church and the presbytery building, as a memory of the vanished village that was demolished because of the Nuclear Plant Temelín. The one-class school in Neznašov and the two-class school in Žimutice still serve their original purpose
