The help to people at crisis situations (interventional teams)

My thesis deals with the basic components of the Integrated Emergency Management System (IEMS). I give short characteristics of the IEMS and mention the coordination of components of the IEMS and their goals. I refer to possibilities to to recruit volunteers from the public and to the assistance of volunteers in emergency situations. I also deal briefly with the psychosocial intervention teams, their goals, their roles in emergency management, natural disasters, how they work in the field. I also examined the preparedness of the public to critical incidents. I used the questionnaire method to learn about the public awareness of the emergency management (the supplement No 3). I evaluated the obtained data and put them into charts. My concern was also focused on the public awareness in terms of possibilities to inform the public, the information transmission and the range of information (the supplement No 1, 2). As an example of the coordination of the IEMS components I mentioned the vehicle accident which happened this March on the notorious highway D1 with a high incidence of accidents. I described the accident cause, the coordination of the components of the IEMS, the behaviour of the accident participants. In the discussion I analyse the results obtained by the questionnaire research which refer to the public awareness of the emergency management. I also compare the coordination of the IEMS components during the flood emergency in 1997 and during the vehicle accident on the highway D1
