Baroque pilgrimage site of Římov

The thesis focuses on history, development and description of this significant South Bohemian baroque landmark. In Římov there are connected two types of pilgrimage buildings - the Loretto chapel which is encircled by a cloister and twenty five stations of the cross. First part of this thesis deals with reasons for site development, possible models and historical development of the pilgrimage site. Second part focuses on description and present condition of the buildings and also of painting and sculptural decoration. It also contains short biographies of artists who participated on decoration of the pilgrimage site of Římov. The last part of this thesis describes the differences between pilgrimage site of Starý Hrozňatov and pilgrimage site of Římov, which had served as a model for Jesuits from Cheb
