The Issue of Foster Care of Roma Children

My bachelor thesis is dealing with the substitute family care of the Romany children. In the theoretical part basic terms as substitute family care, adoption, foster care, international adoption, children custody and constitutional education are explained. Furthermore, the phenomenon of the family, the function of the family, parenthood disorders in the relation to the child and the malfunctions of the family are depicted. The reader is acquainted with the Romany history and culture too, particularly with the Romany family. The last chapter of the theoretical part provides a few pieces of advice concerning how to deal with a Romany child being raised in the non - Roma family. In the chapter a special attention is paid to the support of the child´s self and his culture. The practical part focuses on finding out the public opinion on this problem
