The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of both inner and outer environments on the formation and growth of the manager{\crq}s personality as well as to explore new trends in human resources management with an emphasis on his/her motivation and stimulation. The research has been carried out in two companies: Budějovický Budvar n. p. and Coca {--} Cola Beverages Česká republika, spol. s r. o. The first part of the work summarizes the theory of the manager{\crq}s personality, his/her motivation, stimulation and the new trends in human resources management.
