Conceptual models of specific domains provide a general overview of a software system design. Structural models, as a technical version of conceptual models, serve as development blueprints that may have to be adapted to fit special enterprise-specific demands. However, a flexible and dynamic adaptation of the design is necessary to respond fast and efficiently to new or changing requirements for reducing time and costs in the later development.
