Public attitudes to the Institutional Care for senior citizens.

The aim of this work is to find out if the public understands that institutional senior care is care related to a field-work. The method of quantitative search was used for this survey. The presumption that people aged up to 40 are less informed about the system of social care for seniors than people over 60 was not confirmed. Those respondents 60+ did not prove any major knowledge or foreknowledge about these services. The presumption that people 60+ prefer a field-work and health service to the institutional care was confirmed. Most of the respondents would solve the reduced self-sufficiency of seniors by supporting of home care. The research confirmed that the public has awareness of the reasons, which lead to the field-work preferences for seniors
