The dependences of the volumetric liquid-side mass transfer coefficient, kLa and the gas holdup on gas superficial velocities (0.01-0.20 m s-1) in coalescent and non-coalescent media are presented. The effect of coalescence on kLa values and gas holdup in heterogeneous bubbling regime is discussed. The empirical relations for limiting dependences of kLa and gas holdup values for electrolyte addition in bubble column obtained from experimental data are presented
