The subject of the paper is a demonstration of the probabilistic safety assessment of a pressure pipe damaged by a stress corrosion cracking. First the fracture criterion based on the fact that in the instant of the fracture the magnitude of J integral is equal to its critical value Jc is valuated deterministically. Then the attention is paid to the influence of a random variable input quantities on the calculated probability of failure Pf using Simulation-Based Reliability Assessment Method (SBRA)
