The Department of Education and Skills in Ireland has introduced well-being as a subject in secondary schools in September 2017. This positive development also serves to highlight the vast amount of research required about student well-being in Ireland. A correlational analysis was conducted to investigate the effects of physical activity on well-being. Transition-year students were recruited on a voluntary basis to take part in this research. Physical activity was found to be positively correlated with the three different measures of well-being used.
