Wi-Fi is the facto standard protocol for most indoor personal communication devices. Despite this, its usage in IoT solutions is limited, mainly due to the high cost and elevated power consumption of Wi-Fi transceivers. The power consumption of Wi-Fi devices can be reduced using Wake-up Radio (WuR), which allows the transceiver to stand deactivated most of the time. A low-power secondary receiver, called Wake-up Receiver (WuRx), allows to wake up the main transceiver on-demand when there are incoming frames addressed to it. This work presents a low-power RF front-end for a WuRx. The presented front-end demodulates and conditions the incoming signal, which is to be decoded by a low power MCU. The design supports the reception of signals enco...
