Drones or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) are aircraft without people aboard, which have civil and military applications. This thesis wants to be focused on the process of digitalization used in a project of UPC based on a drone with an integrated SAR radar, which monitories different scenarios, as topographic mapping. In order to perform this digitalization, it was decided to use FPGAs, systems that, for its high speed, integrity and performance, are ideal for this kind of functions. The aim of this project is achieve the digitalization of the data provided by a SAR radar integrated in a drone with a lower cost, consumption and weight than the previously used.
