This project consists on a Kinematic analysis of Drosophila embryo development, generally known as the fruit fly. This work is involved in professor Jose J. Muñoz works from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. An algorithm for computing displacements have been proved and calibrated. Thus, the errors have been measured due to an artificial displacement that has been imposed to the real images. Finally the optimal parameters have been deduced and applied to the algorithm with the real images resulting in an intuitive and quantitative visualization of embryo cells displacements. Lastly, with the computed displacements, forces exerted by cells could be computed
