Background: The project Walking the City emerged out of teaching experience obtained in the academic programme Caminar Barcelona. Caminar Barcelona is an urbanism course which has been taught in the School of Architecture of Barcelona since 2004. Methodology: Three teaching innovations constitute the methodological basis of this academic project. The first innovation is the implementation Barcelona guided tours, led by expert guests.
