This project focuses on the aerodynamic design of a RC model airplane for the SAE Aero Design competition of 2016. It solely includes the aerodynamic design, thus, no structural / mechanical analysis nor manufacturing process are described. The SAE Aero Design is a collegiate competition based on designing, building and flying and airplane with the highest payload possible. The aerodynamic design defines the shape of the airplane and its external components: wing, fuselage and tail. Detailed analysis is conducted to estimate the lift and drag forces, which determine the performance in flight.
