Its rhythmic burrowing behavior is strictly related to catchability. Here I studied such behavior under laboratory conditions. I investigated the combined effect of light and current cycles demonstrating that tidal current is an important parameter to take in account in fishery management plan not only for Nephrops. Then I used a transcriptomics and RT-qPCR approach on cDNA extracted from the eyestalk to elucidate the putative molecular genetics mechanisms underlying circadian gene regulation.
